My practice is characterized by a material-driven approach that merges painting and sculpture. This creates a dynamic exploration of how different materials can express themselves, allowing elements to transition from a two-dimensional surface into three-dimensional space. The intimate conversation that develops between spaces, materials, and forms is deeply connected to the places she experiences daily. This connection sparks a profound inquiry into the emotional aspects of inhabiting a space, leading to continuous reflections on the sensory and emotional journey of lived environments. Memory and identity are two concepts that manifest through the material re-working of elements, transforming discarded or found materials into pieces that engage with space. Diverse materials, from cement to velvet, contribute to the creation of dynamic microworlds that reflect on the fragility of reminiscence and the relationship between humans, nature, and the act of dwelling.

Born in 1998 in Noventa Vicentina (VI), Irene Stellin currently lives and works in Villa Estense (PD).
