Trasloco (Kitchen I)

The presence of ceramic fragments in nature sparks reflection on their intrinsic meaning as symbols of identity and home. These relics of civilization in a wild environment create a striking dialogue between past dwellings and vibrant nature. Formerly intimate domestic elements, now displaced and exposed, these tiles find a new purpose as shelter for fungi, animals, and decomposers. Trasloco (kitchen I) is an installation of a 40cm cube, mirroring old domestic walls, clad in these abandoned tiles. Here, the tiles relocate from human spaces to nature, their adhesive mixed with earth, humus, cement, and local seeds. The hope is that over time, wild plants will sprout from the gaps, continuing this natural cycle.
