untitled (Tile scraps)

untitled (Tile Scraps) is a painting created during the B'Art artist residencies, functioning as a weekly visual diary directly on a wall. The work developed in successive layers, mirroring the multifaceted nature of Bassano in Teverina – a town rich in history, built on various levels.

The canvas features diverse fragments that coexist and interact, evoking elements like moss-covered archaeological ruins, remnants of old kitchen tiles from a demolished house, and ancient village ruins with their inner wall colors still visible. These distinct fragments reconstruct the emotional fabric of the place, forming a layered visual narrative that reflects the complexity and history of Bassano in Teverina.
